Given the current GWC Strike, we (the 20/21 British colloquium organizers) have decided to postpone the panel originally scheduled for this Friday, March 19, on "The State of Modernist Studies Now."   With the support of our panelists, we are committed to rescheduling, so please stay tuned for updates.

We invite you to a panel discussion, titled The State of Modernist Studies Now, on March 19 from 1--2:30pm EST.

What does the recent talk of "Troublesome Modernisms", amidst calls for a "New Modernist Studies", really mean for a generation of younger scholars interested in studying modernism? What are the most significant implications of the field's latest evolutions? How exactly do these changes relate to, and correlate with, wider economic and institutional shifts? Join us for a discussion that addresses these questions, and more, as we ask our panelists to speak to how they understand and picture the future of our field.

Our panelists include Prof. Susan Stanford Friedman, Dr. Maxwell Uphaus, Prof. Pardis Dabashi & Prof Nicole Rizzuto. This discussion will be moderated by Prof. Matthew Hart. Please register in advance here
