Farah Griffin on "Conceptions of Justice in Morrison's Late Fiction"

November 18, 2019
6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
America/New_York
Butler Library, 535 W. 114 St., New York, NY 10027 523 Butler Library
A banner bearing the names of eight female-identifying authors and visionaries will hang over the names of the male writers inscribed on the current facade of Columbia’s Butler Library. They come from every walk of life and write about topics ranging from queer theory to black motherhood. Women, especially those from marginalized identities, are often left out of the Western canon, along with the complex and important themes they write about. Professor Farah Griffin will discuss conceptions of Justice in Toni Morrison's late fiction. https://www.butlerbanner.com/events/conceptions-of-justice-in-morrisons-late-fiction
