Sarah Cole's book runner-up for the 2021 Distinguished Book Award from Columbia University Press September 15, 2021 Sarah Cole's Inventing Tomorrow: H.G. Wells and the Twentieth Century was runner-up for the 2021 Distinguished Book Award from Columbia University Press. The award, sponsored by the Office of the Provost, honors books written by Columbia faculty members that bring the most distinction to the Press and the University. Cole was also a finalist for a 2021 Locus Award in Non-Fiction for Inventing Tomorrow. The Locus Awards are presented by the Locus Science Fiction Foundation to honor excellence in literary science fiction and fantasy publishing.
