Biography
Six times in a row winner of Chile’s “National Dramatic Writing Contest”. Two times winner of Chile’s “Off Santiago a Mil” playwright contest. His plays have been published in Chile and Mexico, translated into English and German, and staged in Chile, Germany, Mexico, and the US. Fellow from the Goethe Institut, the International Theater Institut and Columbia University. Over 500 screenplays written and produced for television and cinema. Screenwriting studies at the Internationale FilmSchule Köln (Germany). Lecturer in dramatic writing and photography in several universities and artistic academies in Chile and Mexico; has also given talks on movie sequences, Greek tragedy, literary adaptation, Spanish translations, enneagram, metaphor and myth theory. Current PhD candidate of Theatre and Performance at Columbia University, in New York.
