Biography
Elena is a second-year PhD student of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia. She works on British Romantic poetry, long eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British poetics, poetic and ecocritical theory, and eighteenth-century poetry in the British Caribbean. She completed a master's in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British literature at the University of Oxford, where she wrote a dissertation on John Clare's poetics, which is forthcoming with The European Romantic Review. Another essay on migrant fiction that she wrote as an undergraduate is out, as of October 2024, with ARIEL: A Review of International English Literature.
