Please see link below to this lovely and well deserved obituary for Jonathon Appels, a dear friend who died two weeks ago in his Manhattan home. Jonathon taught in our department for a number of years and was loved by our students. He was an inordinately talented person -- a choreographer and an accomplished literary scholar all in one. Those of you who knew him will remember him well, for he was indeed unforgettable. RIP.
