Biography

Kristin Perkins is a doctoral student at Columbia University, researching performance, religion, and queer theory. Her scholarship has been published in Theatre Topics, Ecumenica, SFRA Review, Borrowers and Lenders, and AWE. She has also written for American Theatre Magazine and Howlround. She graduated with her M.A. in Performance as Public Practice from the University of Texas at Austin, where she wrote her thesis on the representations of LGBTQ+ Mormons in theatre. She is also an alumna of Brigham Young University, graduating magna cum laude with honors. She was a 2020 Fulbright grantee and a 2018 Emerging Scholar in Theatre and Religion (ATHE).
