Biography
B.A. English, minor in Food Studies - UCLA (2017). Megan specializes in Middle English romance and its intersections with material culture and Catholic theology. Her dissertation, tentatively titled, "Uncanny Things in Middle English Romance," explores the overlap of magic and miracles in uncanny romance objects.
Her broader interests include: medieval Insular and Continental romance; medieval and early modern vernacular Christian theologies; theories of race-making in English-Saracen/Moor encounters; the embodiment of masculinity and chivalric virtues; and medieval material book cultures.
