Biography
Nathan is a PhD student studying literatures of the Americas in the 16th-19th centuries and ecological theory. His research interests include natural history, plantation literatures, and the nighttime.
His essays have appeared or are forthcoming in The Point, Public Books, The Cleveland Review of Books, and elsewhere. His MA thesis, “‘Impossible for us to sleep’: Nocturnal Ecologies and Modes of Becoming in Leonora Sansay’s 'Secret History,'” is forthcoming from Early American Studies (Spring 2026).
