Farah Jasmine Griffin was interviewed in the New York Times on why recent cinematic depictions of Black women musicians have focused on trauma instead of the artists’ genius. Griffin guest-curated an exhibition entitled Black Literature Matters at the New York Society Library, focusing on African American, Caribbean, and African writers.
