Celebrating New Work by Julie Stone Peters

The Society of Fellows and Heyman Center for the Humanities will be hosting a celebration of Professor Julie Stone Peters and the release of her new book Law as Performance: Theatricality, Spectatorship, and the Making of Law in Ancient, Medieval, and Early Modern Europe.
Along with the author, the celebration will feature speakers within and across Columbia University, including Denise Cruz and Eleanor B Johnson from the Department of English and Comparative Literature, Camille Robcis from the Departments of French and History, and Jesús Velasco from the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Yale University.
