The Society of Fellows and Heyman Center for the Humanities will be hosting an event in their New Book Series honoring Entertaining Uncertainty in the Early Modern Theater: Stage Spectacle and Audience Response by Professor Lauren Robertson. 

Robertson's original study shows that the theater of Shakespeare and his contemporaries responded to the crises of knowledge that roiled through early modern England by rendering them spectacular.

Robertson will be joined by panelists Julie Crawford, Alan Stewart, W. B. Worthen, and Jeremy Lopez.
